AN appeal has been launched to trace a man who reportedly assaulted a supermarket worker in Cudworth.
On August 19, at 5.15pm, two men entered the Co-op store on Barnsley Road and attempted to steal items.
They were then challenged by staff, which led to one of the suspects becoming aggressive and assaulting a member of staff.
The second suspect then tried to assault another member of staff who came to help – alcohol was subsequently stolen from the store.
A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing but officers are keen to identify the man in the images as he may be able to assist with enquiries.
