A LOCAL homebuilder is inviting the Barnsley community to a Christmas event in Royston tonight.
Taking place at Barratt Homes Yorkshire West’s Notton Wood View development, from 6pm to 8pm, residents are being encouraged to go along and enjoy the Christmas light’s switch-on.
There will also be a Santa on-site delivering some festive cheer, as well as ‘magic keys’ to children whose houses don’t have a chimney.
Sam Wood, sales director at the firm, said: “We are really excited to host this magical Christmas event at Notton Wood View, with December being such an important time for communities to come together.
“We’re looking forward to giving the people of Royston the opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit having been unable to do anything similar this time last year.
“We’d encourage the local community to bring their family and friends to Notton Wood View to kick-off their festivities and meet others from their local community as the build-up to Christmas gathers pace.”
