FOUR two-bedroom bungalows are set to be built just outside the town centre after plans were given the green light.

An application for work to take place on Queens Road was originally submitted in December. These plans were approved by the council earlier this week.

SOLAR panels will be added to a Brierley sports and leisure centre after Barnsley Council approved plans. An application was submitted to the council for work to take place at Burntwood Sports and Leisure Centre on Common Road in February. These plans were given the green light by the planning board earlier this week.

PLANNING permission is being sought to build a new property in Elsecar. If approved, work will take place off Foundry Street. Nine neighbouring properties have been made aware of the plans with no appeals to date. Public consultation ends on May 8.

PLANS to convert a Hood Green agricultural building into two residential properties have been submitted to the council. If approved, work will take place at Lower Eastfield Farm, on Eastfield Lane. PLANS to convert two properties in Mapplewell into one have been approved by the council. An application for work to take place on Spark Lane was originally submitted in February. These plans were given the green light by Barnsley Council’s planning board earlier this week.
