A NEW initiative designed to support wellbeing will be held over the next few months.
The ‘Look Around The Garden’ sessions will be hosted at Springvale Community Garden and will run from May to July, offering local residents a chance to engage in gentle garden-based activities, conversations, and creative expression.
This free pilot scheme, supported by the Mental Health Innovation Fund in partnership with Barnsley Council and South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), is delivered in collaboration with local organisations Suicide Sucks! CIC, Rosie B Creates, and Art for Wellness.
Each session is hosted at Springvale Community Garden, Penistone, and is open to all, especially those seeking a safe, welcoming space to explore mental wellbeing, nature, and creative practices.
The first session will be held on May 13 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, with sessions then taking place on May 27, June 4 and 25 and on July 2.
