A NEW water pipe to replace one prone to bursting is set to be installed in Royston.
Yorkshire Water will begin works on Lee Lane from February 10 and the project is set to cost £400,000.
During the work, Lee Lane will close to through traffic from the junction with Wakefield Road to the access road for the new development.
A diversion will be in place.
Vicky Scroggins, Yorkshire Water community engagement advisor said: “This is a vital project that will have a real impact on reducing bursts and maintaining water supplies.
“We would like to thank residents for their patience in advance and let people know that local businesses will remain open during the work.”
