BARNSLEY South MP Stephanie Peacock has attended an event to mark the achievements of Paralympic athletes in Parliament.
The event was to celebrate the achievements of athletes and discuss how the Department for Culture, Media and Sport can support them in their careers.
Ms Peacock, who is also Minister for Sport, said: “It was brilliant to celebrate the transformative impact of the Paralympic and Channel Four’s coverage of the Paralympic Games in Parliament recently.
“As Minister for Sport it was of course great to be out in Paris for the Paralympics to cheer on Team GB.
“I was pleased that the government committed £344m to UK Sport for the Olympic and the Paralympic Games in the autumn budget.”
